Commonly known as Peony Tulips, Double Tulips have layered petals that look like peonies.
The flowers are wide enough when they open, almost 10 inches.

That is why they are mainly grown in sheltered places.
Double Early tulips will only reach 8-10 inches maximum.
Late double tulips have stems 12-13 inches long.
They don’t need much water. They are drought tolerant and want well-drained and fertile soil.

Tulips grow well in full sunlight for at least 6 hours. Sufficient sunlight helps tulips retain their color and vitality.
