This plant is known for its high nutritional requirements. Many people have difficulty with this species because it is very demanding. This is an exotic plant and has great beauty, it is normal that the care is more demanding if we want to keep it in good condition.

On the other hand, we can also sin by overfeeding our plants. If Anguloa uniflora starts to have the limits of slightly burnt leaves, that means we are passing on the nutrients we are providing. Fertilizers must be applied in greater amounts as the spring and summer months arrive. However, in autumn and winter, for more than 8 weeks, it is better not to apply any fertilizer or we will do super fertilizer.

While not exactly working, a 20-10-20 fertilizer can be interesting, although your needs may vary. Since these plants grow naturally in tropical climates and high in mountains, they are used to colder climates. The optimal range can be from 13 to 17 degrees for images that have been extracted from higher altitudes and 24-27 for lower ones.

Regarding lighting, it should be taken into account that in nature they grow in murky areas. That is, they are used to having shade. If we want our house to have similar lighting conditions, we will have to put them in the shade. When fall arrives, all deciduous trees shed their leaves, so those are the colder times when it receives the most sunlight.

To replant Anguloa uniflora, you should use soil that can hold moisture but not waterlogged. This plant needs moisture and ventilation so that excess water does not accumulate. In the wild, this plant is used to getting plenty of rain and retaining as much moisture as possible as it is found in the shade under trees. For this reason, to be able to replant it, we need a pot that can preserve moisture but has good drainage and ventilation to avoid water accumulation.

In case we do not apply this properly, we will notice how it is infected with mold or another fungus. In addition, we may also notice a strong smell coming from the tree when it is rotting.
